Air Duct System Cleaning

Air quality and air quality control are always concerns for a lot of vessels and closed environments. Most contaminated dust consists of airborne particles created by ship’s systems and bacteria attached to solid forms. These contaminants circulate through the central air systems on ships through narrow air ducts and can aggravate the symptoms of asthma and allergies and serve as conduits for colds and other respiratory ailments. On many occasions, sections such as the galley or crews quarters tend to be the most contaminated duct lines and these are the most critical. Not only is there dust present but often times grease and oil stick to the inside of the duct. Once the oil and grease harden, it becomes much more difficult to remove, often resulting in whole sections being removed causing delays for a lot of contractors. Sometimes, the reason of poor air flow isn’t the ventilation ducts but the HVAC units themselves.

Dirty intake unitContaminants such as dust, debris and other lightweight particles are sucked in through the small HVAC units but are not always caught by the filters they have underneath. This, if left to run without proper cleaning or maintenance, can result in the HVAC units to not produce clean air or the adeaquate air flow, or even overheat, causing the internal motors to fail.

So how can these contaminants be removed from the air duct system? Clean unit

Vet Biz Trans has the solution for you. We have the latest in Ventilation Cleaning equipment. Along with our audio and video recording equipment, this advanced cleaning method brushes and vacuums at the point of contact, eliminating the use of harsh chemicals such as sealers, allowing for a much faster time frame for those quick or emergent dockside maintenance or repair work.

Our services include:

  • Clean the register covers to remove nicotine film and substances floating in the air.
  • We deep clean the source of the air supply including (where applicable) the blower, squirrel cage, coils, condensation pan and return air supply.
  • Sanitation of air ducts and vents with an environmentally safe sanitizer, leaving behind a fresh scent.
  • Before and After Cubic feet per minute (CFM) measurements to demonstrate the amount of air flow change

Equipment

Not only can our equipment be used clean vent ducts on ships, but it can also be used for Industrial, Residential and Commercial use, such as Barracks & Offices.

Rotobrush Air+XP

air-duct-xp

The powerful yet flexible system easily cleans all types of air duct construction  such as flex duct, round metal ducts, square metal ducts including right angle turns, reducers and multiple bends found in most types of duct systems.

It uses two, four horsepower vacuum motors and a formidable brush motor to spin its brush at a speedy 450 RPM. This machine will make short work of almost any air duct cleaning job.

The brush system rotates to loosen the debris from inside walls of the air ducts. The loose debris is then vacuumed up in the nozzle located behind the head of the brush. Because the rotating cable is enclosed within the hose, it is safe to use in every type of duct application including flexible duct work.

Rotobrush Brushbeast

brushbeast

The BrushBeast is the most powerful system in our arsenal. With a 90% stronger vacuum power than it’s sibling, the BrushBeast can remove even the heaviest build up within duct systems.

The power controlled circuit board provides maximum power and efficiency to get the most from the 52 feet of vacuum hose. This combination makes easy work of long runs of ventilation ducting like those found in ships, public parking garages, and hotels.

Negative Air Machine

Often times there are jobs that require more than a traditional brush and vacuum. This is the kind of situation where our R5000 negative air machine is best suited. Compared to other negative air systems on the market, the R5000 stands out from the rest, with its easy to lift modular setup and breakdown system. With a 115 volt 13.5 amp power plant it can pull up to 5000 cubic feet of air per minute.

Fire? water? mold? No problem, it’s built to take care of it all. With its portability, high power, and air scrubbing capability, the R5000 is able to handle any remediation job.

Dryer Vent Cleaning Equipment

Did you know, according to a 2010 NFPA report, there were an estimated 16,800 non-confined or confined home structure fires that involved clothes dryers or washing machines (including combination washer/dryers), that resulted in 51 civilian deaths, 380 civilian injuries, and $236 million in direct property damage? Why risk your property, your possessions, and your family?

The RotoVent-Vac is a powerful and flexible dryer vent cleaning system with 300CFM. Dirty clothes dryer vents pose a real fire threat, including dust fiber or lint.
